The First School Fight
The First School Fight
During my first year of elementary school, I made a new friend named Jake. We played together every day, sharing toys and stories. One day, a classmate took my favorite toy car without asking. I asked him politely to give it back, but he just laughed and said I wasn’t cool enough to play with it. Feeling angry and hurt, I told Jake what happened. Without thinking, I pushed the boy who took my car. Suddenly, everyone was watching us, and the teacher rushed over. I felt so ashamed and scared because I didn’t want to get into trouble. The teacher gently told me that fighting isn’t the answer and asked me to apologize. I did, but I felt bad inside. That day, I learned that anger can make you do things you regret, and it’s better to talk things out. Later, Jake told me that sometimes people just want attention or to be mean because they’re having a bad day. From then on, I tried to stay calm and handle problems with words instead of fists. It was a tough lesson, but it made me stronger and more mature.
